I will begin by saying that we all misunderstand our relationships with others to the point where they encompass a meaning that they were not necessarily supposed to. In these relationships, our actions, words, and intentions become uncorrelated to the point where they destroy what they originally intended to create. The connection human beings search for – this original creation – is a deep love that, in my honest opinion, is felt through the entire core of our being, or our soul. To achieve this deep love, we need to show one another that we care but be comfortable enough to not overstep our own comfort zone out of necessity to please others. In other words, we need to better understand and differentiate between our needs and wants. To discover this difference, we need to be truthful with ourselves first, so we may be truthful to others in relationships between all people. While it is important to discover similar interests between people we interact with, it is not essential in creating deeper bonds between each other. Traditionally, we build relationships based on a step-by-step process that is ingrained into our psyche through social construction.
This deeper bond, however, we are not ready for yet; it is the joining of two souls that does not necessarily have anything to do with sexual intercourse between either person. This unification feels as if you have known this person your entire life. With all relationships, we must say what we intend so that actions or situations between these people do not become misconstrued. Often times, we are not ourselves and state our intentions because we are fearful of rejection. Instead we must be honest, state our opinion, and do not assume others know our intentions. We must make sure what we say is what we mean. We are so mired in the way relationships currently exist in their step-by-step process, that we do not comprehend the necessity for communication between actions, words, and intentions. We must be thankful for what we have and who we meet as every person touches our lives in unpredicted ways. This is when we make mistakes of leaving our comfort zone in order to make sure the needs of the other person are being met. Patience is something not easily found, but in respect of relationships, it must be used wisely and to the fullest extent.
To find the lasting forever, you must be light with your heart to all those you pass.
